Have you spent some time successfully tackling big, obvious feelings such as sadness and anger, only to find that even in moments of calm nothing seems to matter anymore? Apathy is a common feeling among those in the widowed community. In this course we will talk about creating meaning by practicing gratitude, connecting with your tribe, and volunteering in your community. We will focus on taking small steps at first, building upon your successes, and (gasp) actually seeing projects to completion. It’s possible to retrain your brain to find joy in your own life and spread joy to others, even alongside the sadness of loss.
