Let’s face it, none of us imagined we’d be traveling the widowhood path. We envisioned a life shared with our loved one filled with adventures, dreams, love, and hope. For many of us, the day they died our hopes for the future died. In this workshop, we’ll aim to cultivate hope for the future once more.
We’ll use a gentle yoga sequence to ease the physical effects of our grief, reconnect with our bodies, and cultivate moments of stillness. These moments of stillness will allow us to listen to our hearts once again. Grief takes a tremendous physical toll on our bodies. This healing ritual will provide us the opportunity to nurture ourselves and a way to move through our grief.
Along with our yoga practice, we’ll use the creative process, our past experiences, and our new “normal” to cultivate a sense of renewed hope. Participants will create vision boards with a twist and a new vision for manifesting in the future.
This workshop is sampling of the holistic healing that takes place during American Widow Project retreats. No yoga or artistic experience necessary; beginners enthusiastically encouraged! Come with an open-mind and an open-heart. *Please bring a picture of your loved one with you. Mats and all other materials will be provided.
