The FidoWidow presentation will specifically explore the experience of people widowed during their early adult years who are learning to rebuild their lives in the face of unexpected adversity.  In this presentation, Mary Kathryn will share my personal story of being widowed in graduate school and how she used grief as fuel to drive a career filled with personal and professional passion for helping others.

Together we’ll discuss the ever-changing dynamics and expectations of relationships, and take an in depth look at grieving during young adulthood for a psychological perspective.  The goal of this presentation is to provide resources and psychoeducation on how to cope and communicate effectively through the grieving and life rebuilding process in this developmental stage.
