Grief is one of life’s most challenging experiences. It is a journey dotted with many unexpected aspects. For 90% of people who go through it, eventually they begin to feel better and are able to function while managing their grief. However, for some, grief takes them hostage. The experience becomes intense, more chronic and pervasive. Grief can become all consuming, making life difficult to manage. Complicated grief can take the reins of one’s life and become debilitating.
